Cody Gakpo believes that Jürgen Klopp’s collection of strikers and offensive tactics will be to Liverpool’s advantage in the upcoming campaign.
Gakpo is one of five senior strikers in Klopp’s team for 2023–24, including Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah.
The Reds’ preseason tour of Singapore came to an end on Wednesday with a 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich at the National Stadium, with the Dutch international and Diaz both scoring.
As Liverpool looks to succeed on all fronts during a season that begins on August 13 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, he thinks that such strength in depth is a significant plus.
We have several choices, Gakpo said in an interview with Liverpoolfc.com. “We may select the option we require for each game because we have several games to pick from. For the season, I believe we have excellent choices.”
