The German manager has no plans to start working right away after leaving Liverpool, according to Jurgen Klopp’s representative.

After nine amazing years at the club, Klopp announced that he would depart Anfield after the 2023–2024 campaign.

Over his tenure at Liverpool, the manager has won the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup. This season, he has the chance to add to his list of accomplishments, as the Reds are still in the running for the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League, and this coming weekend’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

Following the announcement of his resignation, Klopp made it clear that he would like to take a well-earned break from football and would not be taking on any new jobs for at least a year.

“I arrived here as a normal guy. In my understanding, I am still that, 100%,” he said. “I never lived that life, and I want that as well, but I never wanted it that much. Just three or four weeks [break] in the summer was fine, but it’s not anymore.

“What will happen in the future, I don’t know now. I don’t know now. No club, no country for the next year. No other English club ever. I can promise that. Even if I have nothing to eat, that will not happen.”

The Bayern Munich managerial position, which is currently expected to become available this summer, has continued to be strongly associated with Klopp despite that statement. Following an appalling sequence of defeats that has seen Bayern drop eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga standings, the Bundesliga’s biggest clubs formally announced that current manager Thomas Tuchel will be departing the team after the season.

Jurgen Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, has recently stated his client’s position over his future in an interview with Sky Sports Germany: “Jurgen Klopp will not manage any club or national team for a year after the current season. That hasn’t changed.”
