The Ball Is Square brings you the latest daily scoop on all things football!

Chelsea has stepped up its chase of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a winger for Napoli, but they will have to wait anxiously while negotiations for a new deal continue. Real Madrid is one of Chelsea’s primary competitors for Kvaratskhelia, who is anticipated to fetch a minimum of €100 million (£87 million).

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli who plays with Kvaratskhelia, is likely to choose Chelsea over Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. There is no interest from Manchester United in the Nigerian.

Due to a potential summer move, Arsenal and Newcastle United are both keeping an eye on Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Nevertheless, Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic are the only two strikers Arsenal is still looking for.

Athletic Club winger Nico Williams has been offered to Real Madrid; however, Los Blancos have declined the deal, making Barcelona the 21-year-old’s primary suitor.

Trevoh Chalobah, the centre defender for Chelsea, was not the target of Bayern Munich during the summer transfer attempt that went awry.

Andre Trindade, a midfielder for Fluminense, is currently being pursued by Fulham more than by Manchester United or Liverpool.

At least 15 players are anticipated to depart Old Trafford as part of Manchester United’s massive clear-out that will be led by Jadon Sancho in 2024. Man Utd’s player clearance might potentially be closer to ten.
