Liverpool risk losing their two best players, Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho, according to multiple sources.
Coutinho has been linked with a move to Barcelona since a series of bids by the Catalan giants in the summer – with the top one being around £114 million – but the Brazilian stayed put at Anfield. Coutinho, however, has not given the Liverpool faithful any assurances of him remaining beyond the summer as stories continue to circulate that he will eventually end up at Camp Nou.
And now it seems the Reds have a serious transfer fight ahead following rumours that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has identified Salah as the next building block for the Galacticos. Don Balon is on the opinion that Perez is planning a player-plus-cash offer involving winger Lucas Vasquez as soon as this January.
But Klopp would find the prospect of losing one of his best players a daunting one, no doubt. Salah’s form has been beyond amazing this season with the Egyptian scoring almost at will since his arrival from Roma. He has 20 goals out of 26 matches to his account so far, which makes him a painfully obvious key player for Jurgen Klopp.
Losing him would be a devastating blow for the German’s plans to get the Reds into the Top Four. And with the possibility of also losing Coutinho to Barcelona, Liverpool are in a tight spot to identify adequate replacements before all hell breaks loose.

French paper L’Equipe (via Mirror) claims that the Reds are planning to join Arsenal and Chelsea in the race for signing Monaco’s Thomas Lemar. If this is true, it is a certain indication that they have resigned to losing Coutinho and are well aware that they would be able pay the £120 million Monaco wants for Lemar.
They will, however, face furious competition from Arsenal, who are in a similar position with star players Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez likely to depart the Emirates.
