Liverpool are chasing RB Leipzig youngster Dayot Upamecano according to German newspaper Bild and the Liverpool Echo.
The 18-year-old is considered to be one of Europe’s brightest young defenders and according to reports manager Jurgen Klopp will look to secure his signature as soon as possible following the already-completed deal for Naby Keita from the same club – Keita will become a Reds’ player on July 1, 2018.
Upamecano transitioned from sister club RB Salzburg and has already added three appearances on top of the 12 from last season for Leipzig.
The deal however could be jeopardized as reports suggest that Upamecano is in talks with his current club which could raise his release clause.
