Former Manchester City starlet Jadon Sancho has thanked Borussia Dortmund for showing belief in him following his move to the German outfit in the summer.
Sancho moved to Dortmund from the Citizens for £7 million in the summer following stories that he had fallen out with manager Pep Guardiola because the Catalan had failed to include him in the club’s pre-season tour.
Earlier reports suggested that Manchester City have inserted a buy-back clause in Sancho’s contract should Borssia Dortmund decide to sell the young English international in the future. But the latest developments seem to pour cold water on any future reunion with Pep Guardiola.
“I’ve come a long way from being a kid, playing football on my estate!” Sancho wrote on Twitter. “Saturday was a big day for me. Making my professional debut for Borussia Dortmund was a dream come true.
“Hopefully the first of many. I just want to thank BVB for showing so much belief in me at such a young age.”

The 17-year-old prodigious forward became the first Englishman to wear Borussia’s colours on Saturday, replacing Maximilian Philipp in the 83th minute.
