
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich still sits comfortably at the top of the Premier League’s biggest foreign spenders, research by SBO shows.
The Russian oligarch is head and shoulders above everyone else having spent a whopping £2 billion since his acquisition of Chelsea Football Club 14 years ago – almost double the amount of the second-placed Glazer Family.
The Blues, who snatched this year’s title with a game in hand, still trail behind Manchester City in terms of squad value: £437 million compared to £446 million for the Citizens.

The overall investment in Premier League clubs from foreign owners is estimated to be £5.15 billion, with the lowest disclosed figure of investment coming from Swansey City Supporters Trust – £70,000.
The figures are likely to rise dramatically this summer.
