Reports suggest Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is planning to offer Spurs an amazing swap deal.

Kane to Real Madrid; Modric, Benzema and Bale to Tottenham Hotspur?

Spanish giants Real Madrid are planning to offer Luka Modric to Tottenham Hotspur as part of a player-plus-cash deal in bid to lure star striker Harry Kane to Stadio Bernabeu, Darrio Gol claims (via Talk Sport).

It is believed that Madrid are also keen on throwing former Spurs star Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema in the mix in order to secure Kane’s signature as early as January.

Kane, 24, has become one of Europe’s most desired strikers since breaking into Spurs’ first team in 2014. The England international bagged 21 goals in his debut season and has improved further with 25 and 29 goals in the following seasons.

Now Real president Florentino Perez is reportedly looking for ways to reduce Spurs’ £177 million evaluation of their star player by offering no less than three players, including Modric, plus cash to the North London club.

While Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy may be tempted by the financial element of such a deal in bid to finance the construction of the new stadium, Mauricio Pottechino is thought to be unwilling to let go of his main striker without bringing in an adequate replacement.

But Pochettino’s position might soften should he get all three with Benzema serving as a replacement for Kane while Modric and Bale could prove to be a significant boost for Spurs’ midfield line.

Bale was bought for £80 million in 2013 but a string of injuries that have kept him out for 252 days since making the switch to Spain are thought to have reduced his price significantly.

Modric, in the meantime, turned 32 in September and is believed to be obstructing several young players at Real Madrid.

Kane was recently nominated for Ballon D’or alongside Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo. His contract with Spurs runs out in 2022.
