England’s preparations for the European Championships next summer include friendlies at Wembley in March against Belgium and Brazil.

“I’m happy to have two strong matches in March as we build towards the Euro finals,” manager Southgate said. “It is important we take every opportunity to test ourselves against top opposition.”

After defeating Italy 3-1 in London in October, the Three Lions qualified for Euro 2024 with two games remaining. Two countries that are ranked in the top five of FIFA’s world rankings will face Gareth Southgate’s team.

Following their match against Belgium on March 26, England, the runners-up at Euro 2020, will play Brazil, the five-time World Cup champions, on March 23. The last time Brazil visited Wembley, it resulted in a goalless draw in November 2017. In October 2020, England defeated Belgium 2-1 in a Nations League match held at the stadium.

Currently undefeated, Southgate’s team has won five of their six qualifying matches. They will finish their campaign during the international break in November, first hosting Malta at Wembley on November 17 and then heading to North Macedonia on November 20.
