The doom and gloom in the Arsenal contingent is at its peak following the Gunners loss to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
Arsenal are now mathematically incapable of finishing above Spurs for the first time in 22 years, with the Gunners trailing by 17 points with five games to go.
Despite Spurs not having won a trophy in recent years, former Gunner Ian Wright believes they have already progressed beyond Arsenal in the ability to attract world-class talent.
“Of course right now you are going to sing for Spurs and the longer it takes for them to sort out what is going on upstairs we are no longer going to be able to attract that type of player.” Wright said.
“They are going to go to another club, rather than going to our club.”
Meanwhile Thierry Henry has rebuffed claims that Spurs have now overtaken Arsenal in terms of club stature, but has admitted they are on the right track to do should Arsenal refuse to shuffle their internal structure.
“Not envy, because after 20 years they still don’t have anything to show for it, so far. I know they are trying to.”
