The Ball Is Square can tell that Chelsea is presently leading Arsenal in the summer transfer chase for Victor Osimhen of Napoli, but Paris Saint-Germain is thinking about making an early bid as they get ready to replace Kylian Mbappe.

When Osimhen departs Napoli at the end of the current campaign, it will be one of the greatest transfers of the summer, with the world’s finest clubs competing to recruit one of the best strikers in international football.

There are three groups spearheading the move, and insiders have provided information on who is directing the group and where he could end up next.

According to reliable sources at PSG, they have Osimhen on their watchlist as a possible Kylian Mbappe replacement, and they think they have a good chance of obtaining the Nigerian national. They’re considering making an effort in the summer and have already reached out to his current team to see if a deal can take place.

Since manager Mikel Arteta is rumoured to be a major fan of Osimhen, Arsenal is also eager to add a top-tier number nine and has spoken with the striker’s team. But, the team is also considering Victor Gyokeres, who plays for Sporting Lisbon, Joao Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion, and Victor Boniface, Bayer Leverkusen’s striker, so they have their choices to make.

Osimhen wants to play in a league he watched growing up, therefore the Premier League is the ideal place for him. Growing up, he was a big fan of other African players who became household names after storming the league. Club icons Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel have been enlisted to assist in persuading Osimhen, 25, to join, and the team is working nonstop to complete the transaction.

According to sources, Osimhen has expressed a desire to join Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and is eager to try to negotiate a deal that would allow him to wear the blue jersey next season. Osimhen’s childhood hero, Drogba, has been in continuous contact with Mikel Arteta in an attempt to convince him of Chelsea’s plans.

The only possibility that Chelsea won’t be able to sign Osimhen in the summer is if the board decides to stay with their goal of targeting young, talented players.
