Oscar wants Chelsea return

Former Chelsea star Oscar has revealed he would be extremely happy if a chance for return to Stamford Bridge emerges in the future.

The Brazilian midfielder left the Blues for Chinese club Shanghai SIPG in December 2016, mainly due to Conte’s decision to change the team formation.

The 26-year-old, who is teammates with compatriot Hulk at the Chinese side, insists that an opportunity to return to the Premier League would be hard to resist despite earning £400,000 a week currently.

“Yes, I would go back! I’m still young, I’m 26.” he said in an exclusive interview with PL Brazil. “Who knows in two, three years to return to the Premier League…I would be very happy. And preferably for Chelsea, who opened the doors for me to return.

“The proposal I had, from the situation that was happening to me at the club, too. The first eight games I played very well, then I had a League Cup game that I left and the team lost and changed.

“Then Antonio Conte changed the team’s way of playing in a 3-4-3 and I did not play anymore, I did not have a position to play, because I’m more offensive midfielder and then changed a lot.

“So I decided to leave too, but I left the door open [for return].”

The Brazilian has had his fair share of problems in China, having received an 8-match ban for causing a brawl in June.

He has, so far, played 22 matches and scored two goals for Shanghai SIPG.
