Man Utd injury news: Rojo to return after international break

Red Devils centre-back Marcos Rojo is set to return to first-team action after the international break following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Rojo ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in the Europa League clash against Andrelecht in April, but is yet to gain match fitness despite having trained with the Red Devils squad since late September.

The Argentinean was tipped to grace the pitch in tomorrow’s game against Benfica, but Mourinho has opted not to risk the defender.

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba is still some way off returning  to the pitch after suffering a hamstring injury in mid-September, Mourinho has revealed.

“Again, I have no idea, honestly, no idea.” Mourinho said earlier. “I have no idea, I’m not in control of his recovery process, he’s not training with me, he’s on individual work and not in my group.

“Even under certain conditions, for example Marcos Rojo is working with me, with certain conditions, but he’s working with me.

“But I would expect Rojo to be ready to play after the international break. I can predict that because he’s training with me.”
