Following Manchester United’s Champions League loss to FC Copenhagen in the Danish capital, The Ball Is Square Is Square asked your thoughts on the game’s outcome via social media.

Here is some of what United fans had to say regarding United’s disappointing loss to the Danish giants:

Jason Steele (via Facebook): The outcome doesn’t surprise me. This season, United has performed poorly in every game. Though it may show false optimism, one victory over the weekend cannot hide the bad form and lack of fitness the players have right now. Managers who start complaining about their bad luck while ignoring their poor judgment is nothing new to football.”

Andy Newton (via X): “United’s play pattern is erratic. Our tactics to lose games are disappointing. Marcus Rashford thought he did something, and I’m not exactly sure why. Since the start of this season, he has not shown any creativity. Match after match, little impact—that is not what is expected of him. Not pleased at all with our team, this is not MY United.”

Michael Shooter (via X): “I’m sorry to say, but the lack of discipline in the dressing room is the reason behind United’s terrible performance. Ten Hag’s out of his depth here – we can’t keep justifying officiating calls and injury-time victories against opponents when United has had luck in the past.”

Gary O’Neill (via Facebook): “The ref overwhelmed United, who had played some of their best football of the season in my opinion. However, the refs have lost their minds and common sense. Another period in which United wins this match without a red card or a penalty kick. Shambles that!!”

Graham Donovan: “Erik should go leave…NOW!!! I have always supported him, but I ask that he step down immediately for the benefit of his own career and our team….. He’s in over his head!! From top to bottom, the club is in shambles, but Erik has taken over, and his additions have only made the team even worse than it was before.”
