Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin was quick to praise teammate Reiss Nelson following the youngster’s impressive display in the Gunners’ Europa League defeat against Koln last night.
Nelson has been impressive so far in Arsenal’s Europa League quest, having featured in all five games in the group stages. But Bellerin reveals that he has been particularly impressed by Nelson’s ability to adapt to a variety of playing positions.
“Reiss is one of the players who, since they’ve stepped on to the first-team training pitch, has shown that there’s something quite different about him.” he told Arsenal TV.
“He’s got a great attitude, he’s got a great style of play and is someone who, when he goes to the under-23s now, he will go and score every single week.
“He’s someone who we are really happy to have. When you compete against teams in the Europa League and you’re able to adapt from a No.10 role to a wing-back role, I think that’s remarkable at that age.”
Against Koln, Wenger opted to push Nelson further up the pitch – a change from right wing-back role the manager has been assigning for him until recently – and it almost paid off when the youngster did this:

The 17-year-old has done very well as an attacking midfielder for the Arsenal reserves, having scored six goals in five outings so far this season.
