Aguero in talks with Real Madrid

Guardiola to offload Aguero for Alexis Sanchez?

Aguero in talks with Real Madrid

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is in talks with Real Madrid for a potential move either this winter or in the summer, according to Dario Gol’ Marc Guell.

The Spanish publication claims Aguero has set things in motion in preparation for the impending arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January, which he fears would restrict his playing time under Guardiola.

Aguero, who played for Atletico before he joined City in 2011, is familiar with the the Spanish capital and is thought to be very interested in working with Zinedine Zidane at the Stadio Bernabeu.

The report continues by stating that Guardiola wants to convert the Chilean into a striker, and with two strikers, including Gabriel Jesus, battling for one spot on some occasions, Aguero could find himself on the bench.

It is understood, Guardiola is so keen on bringing in Sanchez that he would rather pay Arsenal a small fee in January than wait till the summer when more clubs can join in the race for the Chilean.

And with the rumoured potential departure of Gareth Bale, likely to the Premier League, Aguero could find himself on the opposite side of the pitch to Cristiano Ronaldo with Karim Benzema sandwiched between them.

Aguero has booked 1345 minutes this season, scoring 14 goals and assisting for three more in 19 games in all competitions.

He temporarily fell out with Guardiola last season, with the Catalan opting for the much younger Jesus instead. But the Argentinean striker managed to pacify the situation with his boss by making adjustments to his playing style.

His current contract to the Citizens stretches to 2019.
