Anthony Martial believes Jose Mourinho’s touch approach with man-management at Old Trafford is beneficial to the players.
The 21-year-old French forward hit excellent form in September, winning two successive ‘man of the match’ awards and producing two goals and four assists in three games that month.
And despite Martial being played by Mourinho for the full 90 minutes only once this season, the forward is confident that things are going in the right direction for him and the squad.
“He’s hard with all of us and he’s hard with me, there is no question.” Martial told the club website. “I know that it is for my benefit, but I also know that he really likes me as a person so there is no issue about the discipline being for the wrong reasons.
“Our objective, of course, is to have all of us in audition [training] and being fit to play every match, and that is what I am hoping to do.”

“At the beginning, we didn’t know each other too well but over time we have gotten to know each other better. He knows my strengths and he knows my weaknesses, such as they are, but the outcome is that we are learning to give everything in the right way.”
Martial’s fine form earned him his 17th international cap when manager Didier Deschamps used him as a partner for Alexandre Lacazette. The 21-year-old did not disappoint, assisting for the Arsenal striker in the first half.
The Red Devils are currently second in the Premier League table, eight points off leaders Manchester City.
