Former Gunner wizard to start coaching career

Former Arsenal star Alexander Hleb has revealed that he is planning to jump-start a coaching career next year.

Asked about his plans, Hleb told Belarusian TV channel CTV: “My family comes first. I have also signed a contract with the Russian TV channel Match TV. For me, this is something new – I participate in the program as an expert.

“I also want to go to coaching courses – they begin in February 2018. I am still thinking about playing football too. Maybe for a year.”

Hleb spent three years at Arsenal  and was part of the the squad that lost the Champions League final to Barcelona in 2006. The Belarusian moved to Camp Nou in 2008 with the La Liga giants sending him on a number of loan spells to Stuttgart, Birmingham City, and Wolfsburg before making his move permanent. 

His career saw him play for a number of clubs in Turkey, Belarus and Russia.

Hleb, 36, is currently a free agent, but holds the option of extending his stay with Krylia Sovetov Samara for one additional year.
