Wales will compete in the March playoffs, while England, Scotland, and Ireland have already secured their spots in Germany.

Having undergone difficult campaigns, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have lost. Twenty teams advanced through qualifying, including the host nation, Germany, bringing the total number of confirmed teams to 24. Playoffs will be used to determine the remaining three spots.

Who has already qualified?

Germany (hosts), Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey.

What time is the Euro 2024 draw?

On Saturday, December 2, there will be a draw. Live streaming is available starting at 17:15 GMT.

Who is in the playoffs?

Path A: Poland, Wales, Estonia, one of Finland, Ukraine or Iceland

Path B: Israel, Bosnia-Herzegovina, two of Finland, Ukraine or Iceland

Path C: Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg

What are the rules for the play-offs and when is the draw?

The remaining three qualifying teams will be determined by the play-offs. On March 21, 2024, six semi-finals will take place, followed by the finals on March 26. Based on their results in the 2022–23 Nations League, twelve teams advance to the playoffs.

This Thursday’s draw will determine the route that Finland, Ukraine, and Iceland—the non-group winners—will travel and who will host whom in the championship match.

The playoff schedule is as follows:

Semi-finals – Path C: Georgia v Luxembourg & Greece v Kazakhstan

Semi-finals – Path B: Israel v Ukraine or Iceland & Bosnia & Herzegovina v Finland or Ukraine

Semi-finals – Path A: Poland v Estonia & Wales v Finland or Ukraine or Iceland

What larger countries did not meet the qualifying standards?

The fact that Sweden did not qualify for a European Championship for the first time since 1996 means that Norway has also been waiting since 2000 to play in a major event after finishing behind Scotland and Spain in Group A.

North Macedonia won’t be participating, and Russia, whose ban from UEFA tournaments after they invaded Ukraine, will not be included among the participating teams.

Although they will only be able to go if they advance through the play-offs, Finland and Ukraine have also qualified for Euro 2020.

Who scored the most goals during the qualification for Euro 2024?

Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku leads all scorers with 14 goals in the qualifying round. With ten goals, Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal is second highest, while Kylian Mbappe of France has nine.

Harry Kane, the captain of England, scored eight goals, while Scott McTominay of Scotland and Rasmus Hojlund of Denmark, both of Manchester United, completed the top five with seven goals each.

What are the teams that are in form?

Portugal was the only team to win every match while six other teams were undefeated in the qualifying round. Looking to win the European Championship for the second time, Portugal’s head coach Roberto Martinez saw his team score 36 goals and surrender just twice in their 10 victories.

Following their World Cup run-second last year, France dominated their opening seven games in qualifying before Greece beat them to a 2-2 tie in their penultimate match.

Hungary, England, Belgium, and Romania were the other undefeated teams.

To guarantee that they placed ahead of Scotland in Group A, Spain also triumphed in their remaining six qualifying matches.
