Bayern joins race to sign Liverpool and Man United transfer target

Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Liverpool and Manchester United long-term target Christian Pulisic in bid to find long-term replacements for aging Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben, according to Bild.

Pulisic, 19, has established himself as one of the best youngsters in the Bundesliga. And the German champions have now made it their main target to sign him up in the summer.

Should the deal happen, Pulisic would follow in the footsteps of Robert Lewandowski and Matts Hummels.

Pulisic has been a long-term target of Jurgen Klopp, who is well aware of his abilities having worked with him before moving to Liverpool in 2015.

Manchester United are also heavily reported to be interested in the player as part of Mourinho’s plan to add creativity into the centre of the park.

The midfielder is currently evaluated at around £40 million, but Dortmund are unlikely to want to let him go as they see his long-term future at Westenfalionstadion.

The recent inclusion of Bayern Munich and the player’s huge marketability in the USA is likely to drive the price in the region of £60-70 million.

Pulisic has played 20 games for the United States national team, scoring nine goals in the process.
