Tottenham Hotspur's highly rated left-back Danny Rose is set to become the centre of a bidding war between Manchester United and Manchester City in January.
Rose, 27, has 12 caps for England and, due to a lack of quality full-backs in the league, is hot property indeed.
Jose Mourinho has singled out Rose as a potential signing, after testing out Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Ashley Young at left-back this season. None have particularly impressed but it is likely that Mourinho will have to think about offloading one or two of them before he brings in Rose as an addition to his squad.
Manchester City, after splashing the cash on the likes of Kyle Walker, Danilo and Benjamin Mendy over the summer, are looking to add one more name to their already-impressive line-up of full-backs.
Pep Guardiola is aiming for perfect squad depth and in order to achieve this, is interested in adding Danny Rose's name to his roster.
Rose has been injured since January and is yet to start a match for Spurs this season but has recently returned to training and will look to feature directly in Mauricio Pochettino's plans, at least until the January transfer window opens.
