Manchester United Transfer Rumours: Fabinho to Manchester United,

The transfer machinations do not stop with the closing of the transfer window. Agents and players continue their work in preparation for the next window – the January one. There was quite a lot happening in the summer, with some widely-discussed transfers failing to happen on deadline day.

Here are today’s talked-about transfer rumours and gossip in the newspapers:

Manchester United transfer rumours

According to Calciomeracto, Jose Mourinho is preparing a continuation bid of around £52 million for PSG’s Fabinho. The Brazilian was heavily linked to a move to Man United in the summer, but the deal fell through as Monaco opted to keep him. Reports also suggest that Juventus and a number of other top European clubs are interested in the player.

Calciomeracto also suggests that the Red Devils have upped their interest in Napoli’s world-class striker Dries Mertens after learning about the player’s £26.4 million release clause. Liverpool, Arsenal and West Ham have also reportedly entered the battle for the 30-year-old’s signature.

United have been dealt a blow to their Antoine Griezmann chase. According to the El Confidencial, Atletico Madrid will bring Diego Costa to partner with the French striker rather than replace him.

Chelsea transfer rumours

Stories about Diego Costa’s impending exit from the league winners last year are dominating the media today, with the team-mates and player himself bidding their farewell.

The bad summer dealing by the Blues looks set to continue as reports by Calciomercto suggest summer target Andrea Belloti is set to snub the London club and sign a new deal with Torino. The new deal will significantly raise his release fee - putting an end to Chelsea’ interest in him.

Arsenal Transfer Rumours

Arsenal blog Daily Cannon claims that Inter Milan are preparing a January bid for Gunner contract rebel Mesut Ozil.

Club star Alexis Sanchez looks set to receive a salary boost should he decide to accept a January offer from PSG. According to the Metro, the French club are prepared to offer Sanchez a salary in excess of £290,000 a week in bid to ward off Manchester City. Real Madrid and Manchester United are also interested in the Chilean.

Manchester City transfer rumours

The Citizens will offer Fernandinho a new deal in bid to keep him at the Etihad. The 32-year-old’s current contract runs out next year. Reports in the Daily Mail claim that this move is part of a bigger initiative tie down several first-teams whose contracts run out, with Gabriel Jesus also likely to receive a new contract.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer rumours

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has rubbished rumours that Harry Kane will move to Real Madrid.

Liverpool transfer rumours
