Liverpool target Israeli teenager but face competition from Juventus

Liverpool are interested in signing Maccabi Petah Tikva’s  young starlet Manor Solomon, according to Tuttosport (via The Mirror).

The winter transfer window is expected to be exciting for the 18-year-old as Juventus are also reportedly interested in him following a string of impressive performances for his home club.

Solomon has already racked up over 10 appearances for the various youth set-ups of the Israeli national side and has also bagged two goals and two assists in seven appearances for Maccabi this season.

Liverpool are currently experiencing a mini-injury-crisis in the centre of the park with Nathaniel Clyne, Sadio Mane, Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum all absent from Jurgen Klopp’s selection list. Liverpool could move for Solomon in January in bid to provide some cover in midfield as well as keep him for future development.

The Reds are likely to get the youngster for about £5 million, but the price can potentially increase as Macabbi could use Juventus’ interest as leverage.
