Will Navas move to England this January?

Jurgen Klopp called Real Madrid’s Keylor Navas to discuss possible move

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid keeper Keylor Navas as early as this January.

According to Dario Gol, Jurgen Klopp called Navas earlier to discuss a possible move as the Costa Rican has fallen out with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Liverpool are in desperate need of a quality goalkeeper with Simon Minoglet struggling to keep a clean sheet this season and being blamed for two of the four goals the Reds conceded against Tottenham Hotspur two weeks ago.

Despite finding himself in Zidane’s good graces, the Costa Rican will hardly be happy at the constant transfer rumours linking him with a Stadio Bernabeu exit and Perez’ obsession with other goalkeepers among which David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois.

It is believed that he still wishes to stay and fight for his place but his fate will ultimately be decided by Perez, and should he feel unwanted in Madrid, he could potentially make the switch to Anfield.

Navas is currently out with a tear in his abdomen and will miss today’s Champions League clash with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

His current contract with the White Ballet expires in 2020.
