‘He is a magician’, Reine-Adelaide reveals Arsenal idol

Arsenal youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide has revealed that despite having the opportunity to work with some great names at Arsenal, he tries to emulate only one man who he believes is the best of them all. 

And it’s not the ever-tireless Alexis Sanchez or the assist king Mesut Ozil. Reine-Adelaide believes the diminutive Santi Cazorla, who is currently out with a long-term injury, stands head and shoulders above the others.

“I look up to them.” he told Arsenal TV. “If I had to name one, it would have to be Santi Cazorla. He has superb natural ability, he can play with either foot, he can do anything. I think he’s a magician!

“When you watch him play, you can sense he is really serene because he knows exactly what he is doing. Whatever the situation, he will win the ball cleanly.

“I try to be like that so I can play like him.”

Since joining from Malaga in 2012, Cazorla has become the creative midfield dynamo and the player that dictates the game and makes players around him better.

His absence at Arsenal since his a season-ending ankle injury against Ludogorets in October has been clearly felt with the Gunners getting thrashed out of the Champions League and dropping to sixth position in the Premier League.

Cazorla could make a return to football as early as the beginning of next season.
