Costa happy at Chelsea but does not like London life

Diego Costa has revealed that he is happy to fulfill his contractual obligations with Chelsea but has dodged answering whether he is happy with life in London, Mirror reports.

Costa, who has been linked with a big money move to China recently, was spotted behaving strangely at the Chelsea training ground last week, but he insists all is well and he is very well settled in his current club.

He has scored 17 goals in the Premier League so far this season, but has failed to score in his last five matches.

“I am happy at Chelsea, I am not necessarily saying that I’m happy with my life in London.” he said. “But this is something totally different. It has nothing to do with it.

“I have two years on my contract. I am always very honest with those close to me. I tell them that I am very happy at Chelsea. The club gives me a lot, the fans, the teammates.

“I am in a team that is winning, and that motivates me even more. Last season was not the best, not just for me but for other players and for Chelsea. This year I hope will be different that we win titles.

“If you are in a team that is winning, you always want to stay, for the allotted amount of time.”

Chelsea beat Bournemouth on Saturday to keep their seven-point lead at the top of the table with in-form Spurs sitting second. The Blues now face a difficult test on Sunday when they play Manchester Untied at Old Trafford.
