Arsenal cult hero Lukas Podolski gets trolled in Japan

Former Gunner Lukas Podolski was involved in a curious incident during the J1 League clash between Vissel Kobe and Kashima Antlers on Wednesday.

The video Podolski posted on his Twitter account shows him facing Antlers captain Mitsuo Ogasawara inside the oppositional box with Ogasawara punching his own keeper and demanding a yellow card for the German.

The forward has managed to keep his good humour about it, however, sarcastically branding the whole incident ‘funny moments in Japan’.

Here is the Twitter post:

The 32-year-old shocked many  when he rejected a big-money offer to join the Chinese Super League, choosing to become one of the few Western players to grace the J1 League instead.

He scored a double on his debut for Vissel and has so far bagged five goals in 15 appearances since joining the club in July. He’s also been involved in a number of other incidents since then, including refusing to show up for post-game interviews and shouting at his interpreter.
