Scraley Road Stadium – Capacity 3,000 (500 seated) Heybridge Maldon Essex CM9 8JA About Scraley Road The ground has a rural feel about it, reached down a narrow country lane as you pass through a housing development (similar to Concord Rangers).  You enter the ground via the Scraley Road End which is where the well-appointed clubhouse and refreshment kiosk is.  Heybridge service one of the biggest portions of chips in Non-League football for just £1.50.  You can take drinks out of the bar (although there may be the ban in place as it is a FA competition.  Standing at this end is just behind a barrier. The Main Stand has a few rows of seats but views are obscured by pillars.  There is standing either side of this stand. At the south end of the ground is a covered terrace behind the goal. There are a number of supporting pillars to this stand but the acoustics are very good when there is a number of vocal fans in. The oldest stand at the ground is the West Stand. This dates to when the ground opened in 1964 and houses wooden bench seating. The tannoy room and the Press Box can also be found in this stand. Standing terraces sit either side of this old fashioned Grandstand. How to get to Scraley Road (Sat Nav postcode CM9 8JA) By car: Take the Highway to Hell (M25) anti-clockwise through the Dartford Tolls and under the water.  Continue on the M25 until junction 28 for Brentwood and then follow the A12 towards Colchester.  Stay on the A12 as you pass around Chelmsford and exit at junction 18 for Danbury, Maldon and Heybridge onto the A414.  Stay on this road  as you reach Maldon, following signs to Heybridge (A414).  When you reach roundabout with B1021 take 2nd exit and then straight on at next roundabout onto the Colchester Road.  Straight on at next roundabout into Scraley Road.  The ground is on the right hand side after the houses.  There is a small car park at the ground, otherwise it is parking on the grass verges. By train: Nearest station to Witham, some miles away and would therefore mean a cab or the number 47 bus to Heybridge and then a walk to the ground.  The best bet may be to book a mini-cab for the trip. Admission to Scraley Road Adults £10 Concessions £5 and Children under 16 £1. Fancy a beer? Heybridge doesn’t have an over-abundance of pubs but the Jolly Sailor and the Old Ship Inn, both in Heybridge Basin are ok and serve food.  Both are a fifteen minute walk from the ground.
